Slate and Bamboo Flooring and Baseboard Trim

 


Bamboo hardwood flooring and slate is throughout the home. Canadian slate covers the floors in the front and garden entries, the kitchen the powder room and the bathrooms on the second floor. The bamboo hardwood has been imported from Taiwan and is found throughout the main and 2rd floors. Ten millimeter laminate flooring from Austria covers the 3rd level for extra endurance against scuffs and scratches.

All baseboards are six inches deep and painted white.



The staircase is stained pine treads with a high gloss finish for durability and has white painted, pine board, risers. The spindles are a square fluted white pine to match the colonial doors.




Door Handles

 


All interior doors are colonial style and decorated with Emtek door handles. Each door handle is of a different style and each display a different back plate.



The exterior doors have Schlage door handles. The front and back doors have dead bolt locks.



Interior Colonial and Exterior Doors (All Weather) and Door Trims


Exterior doors are manufactured by All Weather windows and doors. The front door is surrounded by leaded stained glass. Exterior doors handles are Schlage brand.

 


Interior doors are of the colonial style with Emtek door handles.

Door trim is 4 inch with four inch square blocks on corners.


Exterior Home Finishing


The exterior of the home is finished with Behr, Atlantic Blue, stain over clapboard. The corner moldings, eave trims and windows are trimmed with white stained pine. The eavestroughing is a continuous flow gutter with down spouts and leaf guards to prevent clogging. The home sits on a stone and concrete mix foundation. There is a crawl space under the home to access the teleposts.

Lantern style lighting adorns the exterior of the home with two lights in the front and three lights on the patio. the main portal is the original 1855 carved millwork which surrounds the stained glass leaded window that encases the door.


Driveway




The driveway is located in the westerly side of the home and is all gravel. There is sufficient space to park two vehicles; one on front of the other. The town water is trenched from the street and through the driveway to the service room.
